I assist the media people at my church and where it would take the rest of the Sunday afternoon to (keep me from my golf match) copy and deliver the copies. I can do this now in a matter of mins. (top quality). The unit does have a slight hum (noise) to it when it is working but not enought to be distracting. The setup was easy, just follow the instructions included. This is very good. It duplicates 650mb disk to 5 cds in about 3-4 minutes. It also recognizes if there is a bad blank cd inserted. So far, we have duplicated about 600 cds and they are good. We will be working on DVDs soon. Steps involved: 1. Check the voltage setting in the rear to your country specific voltage (110V in US) 2. Plug the cable, turn on the power in the rear. 3. Push the Start button in the front - bottom - center. It takes half a minute to boot up. 4. Insert source disk in the top tray. It reads and loads the data. (do not remove the source disk) 5. Insert blank disks. It verifies and warns of bad disks. 6. Our work requires us to make at least 4 copies of a DVD. Copying the information from the recording machine for each DVD was very time-consuming and required sitting in front of the recorder, clicking buttons. It would take approximately 18-28 minutes to make each DVD from the recording device (depending on the amount of data to be transferred) but now it takes relatively no time to make the copies with the duplicator. From the 18-minute copying time disc, it took 3 1/2 minutes to make the 4 copies. From the 28 minute copying time disc, it took 8 minutes to make 5 copies. Also with the duplicator, we can walk away from the duplicator while the copies are made (but not for long!). As other reviews stated, the instruction booklet gives little information on what and how to operate the duplicator. However, it was easy for a non-tech person to figure out how to make the copies. To date, all copies have played perfectly. We searched for the lowest price and the best reviews and found it with this machine.
